The U.S. Army Ordnance Museum The United States Army Ordnance Museum at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, has one of the world's leading collections of military ordnance, ranging from small arms to 240 large armored vehicles, tanks and artillery pieces, some of the last survivors of their type. Outside exhibits: All outside exhibits are open daily during daylight hours. This includes the 25 acre tank park and the vehicles on display on Maryland Boulevard. Operating hours are 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. daily, and closed all holidays except Memorial Day, Armed Forces Day, Fourth of July, and Veterans Day. DIRECTIONS: Under current access policies for Aberdeen Proving Ground, access to APG requires a photographic ID card. If you have a government ID card: Traveling on 1-95, take exit 85 to State Route 22 South and travel 3 miles south to Aberdeen Proving Ground. If you do not have a government ID card: Traveling on I-95, take exit 85 to State Route 22 South. Travel to the Aberdeen exit (Approximately 2 miles) (Pulaski Highway, Route 40 West). Then exit at Route 715 to Aberdeen Proving Ground and present a photographic ID at the gate and state your destination as the Ordnance Museum.
